Everyone has heard the question: “If you had only one day left to live, how would you spend it?”

For most people, it is only a thought experiment. For mayflies, it is simply life. In the span of a single day, they see the world for the first time, take flight, fall in love, fight to survive, and leave behind the most important thing they can — a new life. No tomorrow. No second chances. Just one sunrise, one sunset, and an entire lifetime in between.

Mayflies is a short story about fitting into a single day what some never manage to find in a lifetime.
